About the Airtac SC100 Standard Cylinder SC100X35
The SC100X35 is a double-acting pneumatic cylinder with a 100 mm bore and a short 35 mm stroke, ideal for clamping, ejecting, or precise short-travel positioning. At 0.5 MPa it generates 3927 N of push force, rising to 7068 N at the 0.9 MPa maximum operating pressure.
This tie-rod cylinder uses a 25 mm diameter piston rod with M20x1.5 male threads and PT1/2 ports. The body length A is 188 mm, giving a compact total extended length of approximately 223 mm. Standard TPU seals suit operating temperatures from -20 to +70 °C, and the adjustable air cushion at each end decelerates the piston smoothly over the 29 mm cushion length.

Is the Airtac SC100 Standard Cylinder SC100X35 the Right Cylinder?
For slightly lower force in a smaller envelope, the 80 mm bore SC80 series provides 2513 N at 0.5 MPa; for heavier loads the 125 mm bore SC125 delivers 6136 N at the same pressure. Always size the cylinder so the working load is well below the available thrust to maintain speed control.
