The AirTAC SED63X75S is a double-acting, double-rod profile cylinder built to ISO 15552 dimensional standards. Because a 20 mm rod exits both ends, the annular piston area is identical on extend and retract, yielding 1402 N of force each way at 0.5 MPa. Choose the SED63X75S when your mechanism requires 1402 N of both-way thrust at 0.5 MPa. If your application needs less force, step down to the 50 mm bore (825 N both ways); if you need more, step up to the 80 mm bore (2268 N both ways). The twin-rod design is preferred over a single-rod SE when you need to mount a rear cam or sensor flag, or when the load requires high resistance to torsional rotation. Remember that a standard SED does not hold position on air loss—the piston drifts. For fail-safe holding, use a BSED double-rod lock cylinder or an external pilot-operated check valve.
