This model is discontinued

AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is SAIJ80X75-20S — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the SAIJ80X75-20S in place of this model. The SAI replacement keeps the same ISO 15552 mounting interface, bore, stroke, output force and accessories, so it drops straight into existing fixtures. It is the current-production version of this cylinder with an upgraded piston seal.

Airtac SIJ80 Dual Axis Adjustable Cylinder SIJ80X75-20S

The AirTAC Airtac SIJ80 Dual Axis Adjustable Cylinder SIJ80X75-20S is a double-acting ISO 15552 (orig. ISO 6431) profile-barrel cylinder with a Ø80mm bore and 75mm stroke, G3/8 air ports and adjustable end cushioning. This model is discontinued — the drop-in replacement is the SAIJ80X75-20S, which matches its ISO interface, bore, stroke, force and mounting.

About the Airtac SIJ80 Dual Axis Adjustable Cylinder SIJ80X75-20S

The AirTAC SIJ80X75-20S is a discontinued double-acting single-rod ISO 15552 adjustable-stroke cylinder. An external stop screw lets you trim the extend stroke by up to 20mm on-site, yielding a usable 55-75mm extension window from the 75mm nominal maximum. The 80mm bore features a G3/8 port, M20x1.5 rod thread, and 36mm adjustable cushions. This SIJ model is replaced by the drop-in SAIJ80X75-20S, sharing the exact interface, magnet, and 4523N push force at 0.9MPa.

The SAIJ successor introduces an upgraded piston seal with two Y-shaped one-way elements for lower start-up pressure and longer life. For sizing, the 2513N push force at 0.5MPa yields a safe working load of roughly 1508N, or a 128kg vertical lift with a 2:1 margin. Remember the stop screw sets end position only; it is not a load lock, so use SAIL or BSAI variants for held loads.

Replacing the Airtac SIJ80 Dual Axis Adjustable Cylinder SIJ80X75-20S with the SAIJ80X75-20S

To replace the discontinued SIJ80X75-20S, specify SAIJ80X75-20S to retain the G3/8 port, 75mm nominal stroke, and 20mm adjust window. If sizing down, the 63mm bore yields 1559N push at 0.5MPa; sizing up, the 100mm bore yields 3927N. Choose the 20mm adjust window when you need on-site tuning of the extend stroke from 55 to 75mm. Mounting interfaces include FA, LB, and TC. The -S suffix provides a piston magnet for legacy CS1-B/DS1-B switches; the SAIJ replacement uses current AirTAC switches. For strokes over 300mm, verify side-load limits to prevent guide wear.

Airtac SIJ80 Dual Axis Adjustable Cylinder SIJ80X75-20S FAQ

Yes, the SIJ80X75-20S is discontinued. The exact drop-in replacement is the SAIJ80X75-20S. It shares the ISO 15552 interface, 80mm bore, 75mm stroke, 20mm adjust window, and G3/8 port. The SAIJ adds an upgraded piston seal for longer life.

The 80mm bore delivers 2513N push and 2268N pull at 0.5MPa, 3518N push at 0.7MPa, and 4523N push at 0.9MPa. The external stop screw provides a 20mm adjustment window, allowing the extend stroke to be shortened from the 75mm maximum down to 55mm. The stop sets position only and does not lock the load.
